Mozambique is one of the world's poorest and most underdeveloped countries. Healthcare across the country is poor with only three doctors for 100,000 people
The Leprosy Mission has been working in the Cabo Delgado province since 1994. Typical activities include logistical and technical support, supervision and training of healthcare staff and community volunteers. We are working with ALEMO (the Association for Leprosy-Affected-People in Mozambique) a locally run association, working to improve the lives of people affected by leprosy through self-help groups, small income generating projects and community development.
Effective advocacy needs to raise the profile of people affected by leprosy at local and national level. People affected by leprosy themselves should be part of this process to have their voice heard. As partners with Cabo Delgado Leprosy Project, we are challenged to raise £10,000 to transform the lives of people living with leprosy in Northern Mozambique.

Come to an area event, hold your own events in your church, get creative and help us raise an extra £10,000 to support some of the world's poorest people living with leprosy. In these tough times, we realise this is a big ask, but we believe that God will make a way.
