During 2011, various churches have hosted one of John Roughley's 'Taste of India' evenings where John cooked an Indian meal for members and friends from the church. Seven churches from the North East & Cumbria area hosted such an evening and with the help of various people from those churches, £2,500 has been raised for the work of The Leprosy Mission. People enjoyed food and fellowship and heard more about our work in India. Thanks go to all who contributed to making these evenings such a success.
John is planning to do Medieval Banquets during 2012. A five course meal will be offered, linked with a presentation about leprosy in medieval England/modern day leprosy. If you are interested in hosting one of these evenings, do contact John to discuss the finer details.
What we do here can make a huge difference to those affected by leprosy across the world.
