Come and sing or listen to Stainer's great work, Crucifixion, on the Saturday before Palm Sunday at St James' Church, Blackburn.
Bring your own picnic or get local Indian or fish and chip take-away for tea.
Hot drinks provided.
No entry fee - donations on the night.

Launch Out for The Leprosy Mission

Sailing at 11.00am
Join us on this fascinating cruise along the Victorian engineering miracle which is the Manchester Ship Canal. Sailing from Seacombe and arrive in Salford Quays some six hours later. On board we will have worship, a professional commentator, and the opportunity to learn, take refreshments and have relaxing fellowship with our other supporters. The cost, including coach travel to Seacombe and back from Salford Quays, is £35 per adult or £90 for a family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children).

Venture Out for The Leprosy Mission

This is a repeat of our hugely enjoyable Lake District adventure. We will pick you up by coach and take you to Ambleside to catch the 10.50am Lake Steamer for Lakeside. A steam train will then be our transport to Haverthwaite where our coaches will pick us up for the short trip to Cartmel. Here you can sample the famous sticky toffee pudding or take refreshment in one of the lovely establishments. Before our closing worship in the magnificent Priory, you will have an opportunity of a guided tour of the church to hear its fascinating history.
Book now to avoid disappointment - £5 deposit per person. The cost is £35 per adult or £90 for a family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children). This includes all transport.

Splash Out for The Leprosy Mission

Our annual sponsored guided walk across Morecambe Bay. Starting at Hest Bank (near Morecambe). Entry (payable on the day) is £10 per adult and £5 per child which covers the return coach fare back from Humphrey Head to Hest Bank, guide and tractor fees, and completion certificate. The increase in cost will enable us to hire sufficient port-a-loos at BOTH ends of the walk!

Zip Along for The Leprosy Mission

Descend from The Imperial War Museum North in Salford Quays by zip wire!
This will be an amazing new experience - if you can find anyone brave enough in your church to take up this challenge! It is professionally organised and run with all safety and insurance fully covered. To make it a social occasion we will gather at the Lowry Centre at 12 noon where light lunches and coffee/tea will be available (menu and prices later). Why not make a day of it and bring your supporters with you for a bit of retail therapy as well!
Places are strictly limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. The cost is £40 to enter and we would expect the participants to raise £250 in sponsorship. Reserve your places now by sending the entry fee to Derek.

Ride Out for The Leprosy Mission

Our annual sponsored cycle ride around the famous TT Course on the Isle of Man. This is for those who like a challenge and don't mind missing sleep! We sail on the overnight ferry from Heysham arriving in Douglas at 06.00. After a lovely warm up ride around Port Soderick and Marine Drive we will fuel up with breakfast at The Caff before making our way to the Grandstand for an 09.00 start. The course is 38 miles and the scenery is breathtaking - as are some of the hills! Don't worry, it's not a race, walking is permitted - and we;ve plenty of time to do it. A relax in Onchan Park with its many attractions is an option after the ride - as is Fish and chips at Port Jack! We sail back at 20.00.
The ferry fare is £35 - payable on booking. Go on - I'm 64 this time - and I'm going to do it - I'm sure you can!.
