On our way back through Guildford we'll stop at Debenhams for a cup of tea in their Riverside restaurant on the banks of the River Wey. White Cliffs Walk of Hope
Saturday 4 September 2010
Another new walk for The Leprosy Mission. This walk takes in the stunning views from atop the famous White Cliffs of Dover. Hopefully it'll be a clear day and we'll be able to see right across the channel to France. Meeting at the National Trust Car Park this walk is approx. 4 miles on naturally uneven terrain, but has no major hills to encounter, great if you're new to walking.

Pier2Pier Walk of Hope
Saturday 11 September 2010
Pier2Pier is back for a second time and this time it's supersized!! Last year's nine-miler from Ryde to Sandown took the road between the two towns, this year it's the coastal path. That's 12 miles of walking route starting at the tip of Ryde Pier and ending on the tip of Sandown Pier. This one is not for the faint-hearted, however it will provide stunning views of the eastern Island coastline and an enjoyable day out for those brave enough to take it on!
