Sue Over celebrates her sixtieth birthday in style!

In West Central we have some truly amazing supporters. Take Sue Over from Coventry for example: as well as being a volunteer speaker for The Leprosy Mission, she has written a number of excellent cookery/devotional books, available from TLM Trading. (They make excellent Christmas gifts)

Sue recently celebrated her 60th birthday - in style! She decided to try to raise an extra £1,000 for the work of The Leprosy Mission, in addition to the proceeds from her books.  To achieve this, she asked for donations instead of presents at her birthday drop-in - Coffee and Cakes in the morning and Afternoon Tea later - to which around 60 family and friends came; she did her daughter's ironing every fortnight; donated expenses from her other speaking appointments such as Sunday services and mid-week meetings and made and sold greetings' cards.  She achieved her own target in July this year - and is still raising more!
