The Summer Church Outing & Yorkshire Duck Race
Saturday 14 July 2012
1pm - 5pm
Bolton Abbey will be the beautiful backdrop for our summer church outing. Come along with your family and friends and enjoy an afternoon of fun and entertainment. We will start the Yorkshire Duck Race at 2pm by launching 1,200 ducks into the river Wharfe from near the Stepping Stones Bridge.
There will also be some sideshows and live music on the banks of the river Wharfe. Enjoy a picnic, cream tea and a stroll in this most beautiful setting. Then join us for our riverside, open-air service of worship and praise at 3.30pm led by the Power Praise Band and friends from Halifax.
Of course you can still sponsor a duck for £2 even if you can't come on the day. Please get your church to sponsor one or more ducks together. We will notify the winner, who will receive a special Leprosy Mission prize. Just contact James for a special church sponsor form.
Entry to Bolton Abbey is free. Car parking is £6 per car. Just come along on the day. Come as a church group if you can!
