Leave a legacy
National Director Peter Walker talks about the impact that leaving a legacy gift can have.
We are sincerely grateful to all the faithful supporters who have left legacy gifts to the mission. It makes me give thanks for the generosity and love they have shown - love for mankind and for sufferers of leprosy and its terrible consequences.
Our legacies from gifts in wills are vitally important to the work we do. Following the example of Jesus Christ, The Leprosy Mission strives to break the chains of leprosy, enabling people to attain healing, dignity and life in all its fullness. We have a heart desire to enable all people suffering from leprosy and its consequences to have real choices in life: purpose, relationships, dignity, value, empowerment and lives transformed.
One in four projects are funded by legacy donations. The legacy gifts we receive allow us to help sufferers and educate communities.
Legacy gifts are vitally important to the work we do. Please prayerfully consider naming The Leprosy Mission in your will.
Around a quarter of our work is funded by legacy gifts
The thoughtful gifts of legacies left by many of our faithful supporters see the lives of people affected by leprosy transformed long after their own lives. We are very grateful for the kindness shown by these supporters.
It would be a wonderful blessing if you could remember The Leprosy Mission with a gift in your Will, once you have provided for your family and dependents
If you are planning to leave, or have already left, a legacy gift, we thank you and suggest considering informing both your loved ones and The Leprosy Mission of your decision to make a charitable provision in your Will. We also highly recommend consulting a lawyer or financial advisor to ensure that all of your goals are considered.
