Volunteering FAQs

We believe we are all called to serve Jesus and follow his example by serving others through the God given abilities we each have. Our volunteers are very important for networking, strengthening and maintaining relationships with our church family and local community around England and Wales. You are vital in increasing awareness and inspiring others to get involved to support us in this urgent mission to see leprosy defeated in our lifetime.

How can I volunteer?

We have many volunteer opportunities for you to get involved with. We appreciate that you probably have lots of skills to offer and we aim to help you as best as we can to find the right role for you. You can serve through your church, in your house group, through our Peterborough office or in your local area. Our role descriptions will give you a better understanding of the responsibilities of our volunteers and where best you could see yourself serving. If you want to volunteer but cannot find a role for you, please get in touch and we will try to help.

Who are you looking for?

You will be passionate and committed about our mission to change the lives of those affected by leprosy and see real differences being made. You will be enthusiastic to communicate our mission with others around you and contribute what you can to your role. You will have a willing heart to serve Jesus and engage people with the task to see people affected by leprosy set free and restore dignity and hope to their lives.

What support will I receive?

You will be supported by one of seven Regional Managers based throughout England & Wales. Your Regional Manager will be your direct point of contact as a volunteer in the church; they will be someone who we hope you will be able to get to know as you partner with us. You can also contact our Supporter Care team, based at our Peterborough office, for help via telephone and email. They can provide you with any resources you may need.

What does the application process involve?

She will be able to chat through your role and what you would like to get involved with. The formal process begins with a simple application form highlighting your interest and motivation for the role. Once we have received your application, we will contact your references and review your application. We will then contact you. Please be assured we will always respond to your application.
