The Leprosy Mission England and Wales is based in Peterborough, England. We employ approximately 40 staff and a team of volunteers across England and Wales.

Partnerships Officer

Peterborough

Salary c. £28,000 pa

The Leprosy Mission England and Wales (TLMEW) is a leading international Christian development organisation with over 140 years’ experience and is part of the TLM worldwide family.  TLMEW serve the poorest of the poor in 11 countries across Africa and Asia, raising funds to provide life-changing healthcare, education, training, housing, clean water and job opportunities for people who have only ever known suffering and rejection.

Being part of the Fundraising Team, you will be working with fun, lively and often noisy people who celebrate achievements and laugh through adversity!  Alongside a demanding workload, we enjoy fun team days, lunches out and supporting one another.  We’re part of something amazing, changing people’s lives, and there is nothing more rewarding than that!

We’re looking for a relational person to nurture a group of donors to meet their needs and help us increase financial support for our work.  It’s a fast-paced role which demands high attention to detail and lots of handwriting!  Staff development is important to us, so you’ll have a mentor who will hone your super writing skills to fundraising perfection and guide you through training.

TLMEW is an explicitly Christian charity, and part of your role will be to represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences and undertake biblical research to locate appropriate scripture for use in TLMEW written material.  There is an occupational requirement for the Partnership Officer to be a practising Christian and the successful candidate will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.

To apply, please send a completed application form, your CV, the equal opportunities form and a covering letter outlining how your previous experience, knowledge and skills equip you to meet the requirements of the person specification to jobs@tlmew.org.uk.
