INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERING


Fitting a prosthesisAre you thinking about using your professional skills to bring God's love to people affected by leprosy?


  • Do you have a heart to help restore hope to individuals, families and communities devastated by a diagnosis of leprosy?
  • Have you healthcare, development or administrative skills?
  • Are you a medical student? 
  • Would you like to help The Leprosy Mission rebuild lives?

We encourage you to explore how God could use you to extend His mission and ministry through a placement at home or overseas.  The Leprosy Mission has a number of opportunities to work alongside experienced members of The Leprosy Mission's healthcare staff.

MEDICAL ELECTIVES
Placements of 6-8 weeks are available for medical students, occupational therapists,
physiotherapists and nurses to carry out their electives in India or Nepal. You will
work alongside our experienced medical professionals, learning vital skills which will
help to relieve the impact of this highly curable disease. Applications need to be made
at least six months in advance.

EXPERIENCED VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer placements of 3 months + are available for experienced professionals with at least 3
years' post qualification experience.

EXPERIENCED CROSS-CULTURAL PERSONNEL         
Longer term opportunities to volunteer/work for The Leprosy Mission are available for experienced professionals with at least 3 years' post qualification experience.  Opportunities are potentially available in Bangladesh, Niger, Sudan, DR Congo, Nigeria, Thailand, India, Nepal and East Timor.
