RESULTS OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

All entries will be displayed at The Leprosy Mission’s Family Festival – details below. Click the photos here to see the winning and highly commended entries.  All the monies raised will go towards this year’s Yorkshire Project, the £11,500 target for the Richardson Leprosy Hospital in Miraj, Maharashtra State, India.

 

The theme of the competition was the first four lines from the well known song, All things bright and beautiful.  Our thanks go to judge, Mr Andrew Rothery, President of the Halifax Photographic Society.

YORKSHIRE PROJECT 2008

This year we are supporting Miraj Richardson Leprosy Hospital at Miraj, India.   All the money raised at our auctions and festival will go towards our target of £11,500. 

The funding will provide: 

  • 30 eye operations  (approx cost £35 each)
  • 30 hand operations (approx cost £90 each)
  • 5 hospital beds (inc food) for a whole year  (approx £30 per week)

Yorkshire Area Challenge 2008

‘What’s it worth’ Dinner and Auction

If you enjoy having meals together this is for you.  The challenge is to

  • hold a ‘What’s it worth’ Dinner and Auction.
  • publish your menu and ask people to pay what they would pay in a restaurant.
  • follow this up with a token auction, for example, Lot 2 a pair of sunglasses - bidding – What is it worth to be able to see?
