FUNDRAISING FOCUS FOR CHARITY RUNS

The fundraising focus of the runs is the Mawlamyine Christian Leprosy Hospital in Mawlamyine, Burma.   The Leprosy Mission and it’s partner have been working in Burma for nearly 100 years.  Mawlamyine hospital is the key referral centre in the south of Burma.  It provides comprehensive services to meet the needs of people, families and communities affected by leprosy.

Anandaban Hospital is situated in the hills outside Kathmandu.  It provides a lifeline to the many leprosy-affected people living in scattered rural mountain communities all

I have always wanted to go to Nepal. . .

 

Seeing the wonderful work done at The Leprosy Mission’s hospital in Anandaban was truly humbling and the whole purpose of this trek. I found this deeply moving, as I realised how lucky I am and how much we really can do to help those who have so little. . .

 

The beauty of these mountains is unsurpassable, their grandeur and magnificence, truly awesome. 

 

The food on the trek was fantastic, the Sherpas were amazing.  They were so kind, gentle and helpful . . .
