Anniversary: Leprosy Mission Nepal’s (LMN) Anandaban Hospital celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this year. Praise God for the celebrations that took place, and thank him for all that the hospital has done and continues to do for people affected by leprosy. |
Tuesday 22
Disability: The average salary in Uzbekistan is US$16 per month. People with disabilities lack basic resources. Pray for TLM’s partner organisation Joint Development Associates (JDA) as it provides microcredit schemes and wheelchairs in Uzbekistan.

Government: In Bhutan the number of new leprosy cases is low, but there are still many people who have been permanently disabled by the disease. Pray for the co-operation between The Leprosy Mission and the Bhutanese government as they work on community-based rehab programmes around The Leprosy Mission-supported Gidakom Hospital.

Patients: Remember all the leprosy-affected patients who receive treatment at Anandaban Hospital. Pray that they may receive spiritual healing along with the physical care. In this predominantly Hindu country, Christian witness can be difficult – pray that patients and staff may experience the grace and love of God. |
Friday 25
Comfort: Nepal Leprosy Trust, an NGO which on occasion works alongside LMN, runs Lalgadh Hospital, which has 50 beds and receives about 70 new leprosy cases per month.Pray for the patients to be comforted as they spend time away from home, and for staff to have energy and motivation.

Elections: The historic Kingdom of Bhutan is holding its first democratic elections this year as it makes a switch to a two-party parliamentary democracy. Pray for a peaceful and well-organised transition, and for wise and visionary leadership. |
