You can help people like Rani get the love and care they desperately need.

Rani came to Purulia hospital with a severe wound on her foot. Parts of it were already grey and decaying. She will need to have a smear for leprosy bacteria.

Rani lives in Jamshedpur, more than 90 km away from Purulia Hospital. Her husband had to hire a vehicle to bring her here. She is worried about money and has a 15 year old daughter who is still at school.

A leprosy diagnosis means Rani will need ongoing care and support but she is not the only one.

People like Rani arrive at the hospital every day, desperate for treatment.

You can help us give urgent care to patients like Rani today with gift.

(I will) bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes.

Please do pray for Sisir Banswar (pictured above) and Leprosy Mission teams as they continue to treat people like Rani.

" I work at Purulia Hospital managing the Outpatients Department and I want to personally thank you for your continued support for people affected by leprosy.

I just wouldn't be able to do what I do without your help.

For me, my job is a calling, it is my minsitry. I feel called by God to be here and called to these people who are suffering because of leprosy. They are often outcast in their communities, many have been abandoned by their families. Day after day I see the effects of this terrible disease.I

I treat people like Rani every day. She is 40 years old and came to the outpatients department at Purulia Hospital with her husband and sister."
