Do you enjoy building relationships that inspire others to bring lasting change? We’re looking for a Christian who is passionate about seeing people released from poverty, and their lives transformed, in the name of Jesus. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you!

As part of a fun and supportive team, you’ll play a key role in changing the lives of people who have been rejected by society. You’ll be part of building God’s kingdom here on earth. There’s nothing more rewarding that that! We have a culture of growing and learning together, providing extensive training in fundraising and international development. We have award winning levels of staff engagement and we’re Charity Times and Third Sector award winners as well.

Being part of the frontline of supporter relations, we’re looking for a relational person to nurture our predominantly Christian supporters and ensure their experience of supporting The Leprosy Mission is of the highest standard. Telling the stories of the communities we support is vital to this role. You will answer the switchboard and enquiries function (phone, email and post) and undertake the administration of data entry on to the salesforce database. This will include processing donations, updating supporter details and maintaining supporter records and ensuring that information held is accurate, appropriate and up to date. It’s a fast-paced role which demands high attention to detail, good IT skills and excellent interpersonal skills on the phone. As a Supporter Relations Advisor you will be comfortable praying with supporters if asked and also offering prayer if appropriate. It is likely that you will have had experience in a customer facing role including call handling, taking payments over the phone and using a CRM.

Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by this disease are often rejected by those closest to them.

The Leprosy Mission is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with 145 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. As a leading international Christian development charity, we work in 10 countries across Africa and Asia to defeat leprosy and transform lives.

TLMEW is an explicitly Christian charity, serving those of all faiths and none. You will represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences and pray with our Christian supporters. There is an occupational requirement for the Supporter Relations Advisor to be a committed Christian.

TLMEW has a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation of all people. Successful candidates are expected to understand, sign and comply with all organisational policies, including the Safeguarding Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy. Recruitment to all roles within TLMEW includes criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. We are committed to diversity and welcome applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community, who have permission to work in the UK.

To apply and for more information on these roles, and the work of TLMEW please visit: www.leprosymission.org.uk . We will shortlist and interview candidates before the closing date, so please apply as soon as possible.
