How your money is spent
Our aim is that your donations have as much impact as possible. You can find out how we do this here.
For every £1 you give:
76p is spent on charitable activities - diagnosing and treating people with leprosy, and transforming lives through care, research and advocacy.
24p is invested in fundraising, ensuring we can continue to transform the lives of people affected by leprosy.
In 2019, for every £1 invested in fundraising, £4.31 was returned to support people affected by leprosy.
In 2018, our total expenditure was £7,977,201. Read our 2019/20 annual report to find out more.
Your impact in Mozambique
Thousands of people affected by leprosy in Mozambique, like Antonio, pictured above with his wife Gabrielle, have benefited from an ambitious project. This was made possible by your generous donations to our Feet First appeal in 2015 and UK Aid Match funding from the Department for International Development (DFID)*.
You helped set up self-care groups, which trained people affected by leprosy to look after their feet to prevent injury and disability. You set up farming groups, providing training in sustainable agricultural methods, protecting people’s livelihoods. And you made it possible for communities to form savings groups, using microcredit and loans to improve their lives.
