Anandaban Hospital provides healthcare to thousands of people affected by leprosy. But this week, forest fires nearly reached its doors.

Nobody could have predicted the impact our Heal Nepal campaign would have back in 2019. It is even more remarkable that the fight to end leprosy was so accelerated during a global pandemic. Today, we're so thankful that huge strides have been made in the fight to end leprosy in Nepal.

A new centre housing an A&E department, maternity unit, paediatric department and a critical care unit has opened at Anandaban Hospital in Nepal. An overwhelming response to The Leprosy Mission's UK Aid Match appeal in 2019 has made plans for the state-of-the-art facility a reality.
